Computer Society Meeting

TITLE:  Current Trends in Communications  

 ABSTRACT:  The presentation will include topics like Internet Protocol Television Delivery (IPTV) and Fiber-optic Connections to the Home (FTTH)

 BIOGRAPHY: The presenter will be Howard Gorter.  Howard is an engineer for Martin Group and he participates in the planning for and the design of such systems.

Awards Banquet

The First Annual Awards Banquet was held on November 13 at the Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls.
The following awards were given out at the event:

Outstanding Member Award presented to Douglas DeBoer for his contributions, achievements and dedication to the IEEE.
Outstanding Member Award presented to Jeff White for his contributions, achievements and dedication to the IEEE.
Outstanding Engineer Award presented to Jeff Van Roekel for his accomplishments in the Engineering profession.
Friend of IEEE Award presented to Missouri River Energy Services for its continuous dedication to the IEEE.
