NO OFFICER NOMINATIONS
It is customary to list the officers nominated for office next year in this month’s newsletter. This year however no nominations were made. The vote for new officers would usually be held at the May meeting.
In past years the Siouxland IEEE has served several valuable roles. Local meetings have been a means to meet other engineers in similar occupations, to meet student members who will soon graduate and become available for employment, and promote the interests of your company. Tours of companies have motivated students in their studies and conversations with working engineers helped students make career decisions. Our section now is in need of leadership if we want the Section to continue meeting these local needs. If you are interested, please call or speak with one of the officers (listed on the reverse). Some of the current officers are suggesting that the section ought to have a meeting soon to set an agenda to revitalize our Section. This conversation is happening informally already, but no clear direction has emerged yet. Call and contribute if you can.
